VIA is partnering with TMB to assess the implementation of headway regularization in their recently deployed Nova Xarxa, their high frequency bus network that transports a quarter of a milion people a day.
In this FTA sponsored project, the VIA team is adapting TEMPO to allow The Bus run Line 8 buses with stable headways, in a corridor shared by seven other routes. This innovative operational approach will allow The Bus to run their buses based exclusively on their headways.
TEMPO keeps all of San Sebastián's high frequency routes in sync. Operating with planned headways as low as 4 minutes, VIA helps Dbus deliver over 90% on-time performance at all stations.
